Upgrades, Play Area Coming To Rockaway Townsquare Mall

Expect an upgraded food court and a new children's play area when the renovation wraps up, and new Christmas decorations this year.

ROCKAWAY, NJ — After holiday shopping comes to an end Rockaway Townsquare Mall will undergo a major face lift in time for next year's holiday shopping season. Shoppers can also expect new decorations this year.

Renovations on the mall will start on January 2019, and will wrap up next fall. Some upgrades will be cosmetic: new lights, new flooring, and carpeted seating areas. Other upgrades include new soft seating with phone charging stations.

The dining court will also get a makeover. The re-designed food court will be called "The Dining Pavilion," and will have banquet community seating with built-in charging stations.

Kids need a break during a long shopping trip? A new play area will give kids a space to run around, and will include an enclosed toddler play area, slides, and interactive electronic games.

“We are incredibly excited about the renovation consisting of both interior and exterior upgrades that will elevate and modernize the look of our property,” said Andrew Morgenroth, General Manager at Rockaway Townsquare. “This renovation will give our guests an updated, relaxing atmosphere to enjoy our diverse shopping, dining and entertainment offerings.”
