PARSIPPANY, NJ — Turns out your library card can get you more than just books.
Owners of a Parsippany Library card have access to some of the most culturally significant hubs in the tri-state area.
Library members can, for example, get free access to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York City. Tickets usually cost $30 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $17 for students. All you need is your library card and means of transportation to see one of the most popular art museums on the planet.

Not only do you and one guest get free admission to the museum, but cardholders also get a 15 percent discount at MET stores and 10 percent off their bill at MET restaurants.
Library cardholders, looking for something a little more outdoorsy, can also use their cards at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Cardholders get two admission tickets for free, as well as a 10 percent discount at the Garden Shop and Cafe.
