Young Boonton Actress Performs in 'Shrek the Musical'
Alex Vacchiano makes her regional theatre debut in "Shrek the Musical" at the Walnut Street Theatre

Alex Vacchiano is performing on the Walnut mainstage as a member of the children's ensemble in Shrek the Musical - playing now through January 5.
Based on the DreamWorks film, Shrek is the story of a reclusive ogre who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess. Complete with new songs and an outrageous cast of fairytale characters, this hilarious musical is entertainment for children and adults alike.
Alex Vacchiano is an 8th grade student at Brooklawn Middle School and Boonton, NJ resident. Walnut Street Theatre’s Shrek the Musical marks Alex’s regional theatre debut, having previously appeared on stage as Lavinia in Kids of the Arts’ (KOTA) production of A Little Princess, as well as A Class Act NY (ACANY) productions in New York City as Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical and as Fiona in Shrek Jr. At the Walnut, Alex appears in the fairytale creature ensemble and is also the understudy for Teen Fiona. Alex also enjoys softball, singing and dancing. She hopes to continually share her passion for performance within her community and beyond.
