2 Men Arrested In Separate Point Pleasant Incidents

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — A Toms River man and a Brick Township man were arrested in separate incidents in January in Point Pleasant, police reported.

The Point Pleasant Borough Police Department released the following information about incidents in January:

On Jan. 12, Police Officer Mark Maloney investigated a dispute at a local motel. Shener Ferlson, 39, of Toms River, was charged with two counts of terroristic threats, and two weapons charges. He was subsequently taken to the Ocean County Jail.

On Jan. 28, Police Officer Michael Cappello investigated an act of criminal damage to commercial property at a local business. Cappello witnessed Luke Vanbrunt, 24, of Brick, punch through a wooden stockade fence surrounding the property. Vanbrunt was issued a summons for violating the borough ordinance for peace and good order and was released at the scene.
