Battle Of The Bands Coming To Point Pleasant Beach

The borough recreation committee says 10 local acts are scheduled to perform at the Battle of the Bands on the shores of Little Silver Lake.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Grab your beach chairs and mark your calendar for a day of local music as the Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee hosts its first Battle of the Bands.

The event is set for Saturday, June 11 at the band shell at the corner of Arnold and Baltimore avenues.

The competition includes 10 local acts fighting for a grand prize of $500, the recreation committee said.

The lineup also is anticipated to include comedians and special guest judges, the committee said.

"Circle Saturday, June 11th on your calendars to come enjoy some great tunes and great laughs along the shore of Little Silver Lake and don't forget to BYOBC - BRING YOUR OWN BEACH CHAIR!" the announcement on the committee's Facebook page said. "Stay tuned for more info, we have a couple other surprises to announce!"
