Brave New World Celebrating 50 Years Of Serving Jersey Shore Surfers
The Point Pleasant Beach business is holding a luau that will raise money for the local fire company and surf teams.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Brave New World Surf and Snow is marking its 50th anniversary with a luau celebration on Wednesday, July 31 at its Point Pleasant Beach location.
The store, which has been serving the surfing public at the Jersey Shore since 1974, is holding the event in its back parking lot, off Richmond Avenue, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
There will be more than 30 vendors, games, raffles, prizes, face painting, fire truck rides and more, company officials said.

There will be a whole pig roasted with all the barbecue fixings, Hawaiian shaved ice, roasted oysters, and attendees will be able to get a limited edition screen-printed T-shirt.
All proceeds from the event will go to the fire department and to local surf teams, company officials said.
