POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The Bridge Avenue bridge will be lifted every 15 minutes until about 4 p.m. on Friday as part of work on the span.

The Point Pleasant Police Department issued a Nixle alert urging drivers to avoid the area.

The project is being done by the state Department of Transportation, authorities said.
