Dangerous Intersection To Be Discussed By Point Beach Council

The addition of the discussion to the agenda for Tuesday night's meeting was spurred on by a teen bike rider being struck over the weekend.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – A discussion on making the intersection of Route 35 and Arnold Avenue safer has been added to the agenda for Tuesday night’s Point Pleasant Beach council meeting.

This discussion comes after an incident on Sunday afternoon where a 16-year-old-girl was struck by a car at the intersection of Route 35 and Arnold Avenue.

Later that night, Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Paul Kanitra posted on his Facebook page his intent to ramp up efforts to improve cyclist and pedestrian safety, including meeting with county and state leaders.
