Delayed Opening Announced For Point Pleasant Beach Schools

Up to 4 inches of snow are predicted for the Shore, with messy driving conditions in the morning on Jan. 16.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach School District has announced a two-hour delayed opening for Tuesday morning, Jan. 16, with weather expected to make driving conditions slippery.

The delayed opening means the morning PreK session is canceled.

The National Weather Service is predicting 1 to 4 inches of snow along the Shore, with a switch over to freezing rain and rain in the morning.

  • K 10:05 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
  • 1-8 10:05 a.m.-2:45 p.m.
  • PreK a.m. session- canceled
  • PreK p.m. session- noon-2:30 p.m.

Point Pleasant Beach High School

  • Block 1: 10 a.m.-10:59 a.m.
  • Block 2: 11:02 a.m.–11:58 a.m.
  • Lunch: 12:01 p.m.–12:31 p.m.
  • Block 3: 12:34 p.m.–1:30 p.m.
  • Block 4: 1:33 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
