Division Champion Point Beach Softball Team Lauded By Council
The team won the Class B Central division title with a perfect 12-0 record.
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – The Point Pleasant Beach borough council honored the Point Pleasant Beach High School’s varsity softball team for its accomplishments this year after missing last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The team went 16-5 overall and 12-0 in the Class B Central division, winning the championship with a 13-3 win over Mater Dai on May 13.
“All of the young women in the room are well deserving of some recognition for their accomplishments on the softball diamond,” Mayor Paul Kanitra said during the meeting.
