Election Primer: Who Is Running In Point Pleasant Beach
With Election Day a little more than a month away, here are the candidates for the council and school board races in Point Pleasant Beach.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – It's a little more than a month before Election Day, and in Point Pleasant Beach, both the council and the Board of Education races are being contested this year.
Three candidates are running for two seats on the Point Pleasant Beach borough council, Republican candidates Michael Ramos and Rosa Crowley, and current councilman Andy Cortes, who is running as an independent after not being sure whether or not he was going to run earlier this year.
In the borough's school board election, current Board of Education Vice President Stacey McGlinchy, and fellow board member James Ireland are running under the "Energy Excellence Experience" banner against John Durante and Elizabeth Boyle. They are both running under the "Children First" banner.
