Emergency Pipe Repair Closes Part Of Route 35 in Point Pleasant Beach

The repairs are needed to address drainage after a pipe collapsed, officials said.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Route 35 northbound is closed in Point Pleasant Beach on Monday afternoon as crews work to repair a collapsed drainage pipe near East Street, officials said.

The state Department of Transportation announced the closure, which it said would begin about 3 p.m. and remain in place overnight for the emergency drainage repairs.

There will be alternating traffic on Route 35 southbound during the construction, the state Department of Transportation said. Drivers are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays, officials said.
