The Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee will be awarding prizes in multiple categories.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee is welcoming entries for its 4th annual Point Pleasant Beach Holiday Lights Contest.

"In addition to our usual residential contests, we are excited to add a local business category and an overall residential winner," the recreation committee said. Both winners will receive $50 gift certificates courtesy of the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Point Pleasant Beach residents who want their homes or businesses considered for the contest should click here to enter.

The deadline for entries is Wednesday, Dec. 4. All entrants must be located in the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach.

Voting will be available to residents and non-residents alike from Friday, Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 20.

Please visit https://pointpleasantbeachnj.myrec.com/ to register and vote! One ballot per household member. Winners will be announced Monday, Dec. 23.

The categories are as follows:

  • Best Overall — Residential home with the very best holiday lights display
  • The Mayberry Award — Recognizing the local business with the best storefront or holiday display
  • Deck the Halls — A traditional display that captures the holiday spirit
  • The North Pole — A category for lawn designs that includes inflatables and light up characters
  • The Griswold — Sparing no expense for the holiday season. Clark would be so proud!
