Flooding Closes Part Of Route 35 In Point Pleasant Beach
The northbound lanes were closed due to flooding as Ophelia continues to drop heavy rain across much of New Jersey.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Route 35 is closed northbound in Point Pleasant Beach Friday afternoon due to flooding from heavy rain, according to state officials.
The road is flooded at Washington Avenue, according to 511nj.org, the state Department of Transportation traffic website.
Point Pleasant Beach had received 3.19 inches of rain as of a report to the National Weather Service just before 11 a.m. Friday, prior to the heavy rain of the afternoon.
