Frankie's Bar & Grill Temporally Closed, Under New Ownership
The restaurant was purchased by Chefs International, which owns restaurants all over Monmouth and Ocean counties.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – Residents driving past the iconic Frankie's Bar and Grill in Point Pleasant Beach over the past few days have noticed that it's closed, but don't worry, the place Point Pleasant Patch readers voted as having the best cheeseburgers in the area will be reopening soon enough.
In a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, the previous owners announced that the restaurant would be closed while the liquor license was transferred over to new owners Chefs International, which bought Frankie's sister restaurant Rod's Olde Irish Tavern in Sea Girt last year.
Besides Rod's and now Frankie's, Chefs International also owns seral other restaurants in the area, including Jack Baker's Lobster Shanty, Wharfside Patio Bar, and Jack Baker's Wharfside Restaurant in Point Pleasant Beach.

"We're currently doing some minor cleaning and redecorating," Bob Cooper, President, and CEO of Chefs International, said to Patch.
"When we reopen, we'll have the same menu more like the one that people used to remember."

Cooper also said that the kitchen staff will be kept and that the goal is to keep Frankie's the same as it always has been.
When told about Frankie's winning the poll for the best cheeseburger in the Point Plesant area, Cooper agreed, stating that the burger that everyone will be available when Frankie's reopens once the transfer is complete.
"I completely agree, it's the best cheeseburger in Point Pleasant, and we're keeping the exact cheeseburger on the menu," Cooper said.
