Heavy Rain, Wet Leaves Making Roads Slick, Point Pleasant Police Warn

Point Pleasant police warned residents to drive cautiously because of flooding and slick roads.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Point Pleasant police are urging motorists to drive with care because of slick roads and flooding on Monday morning.

Police issued an alert warning that flooding was affecting a number of roads in the area, and that roads are slickened from the heavy rain and wet leaves.

Among the closures is Bridge Avenue in Bay Head, according to the Ocean County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said several roads have standing water in Bay Head.

"Do not drive through flood waters," Point Pleasant police said.

Ocean County remains under a coastal flood advisory until 4 p.m. Monday.
