Help Clean Up Point Pleasant, Barnegat Bay

Save Barnegat Bay is organizing community cleanups in Point Pleasant to help get trash and debris out of Barnegat Bay. You can help.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Point Pleasant officials are inviting residents to join efforts to help clean up Barnegat Bay on Saturday, at two sites in the borough.

The cleanups are set for 10 a.m.-noon at Riverfront Park and the Slade Dale Sanctuary and are organized by Save Barnegat Bay, the environmental organization.

There are three ways to participate:

On the water: Bring your own kayak to get into areas that aren't easily accessible from shore to remove trash and debris.

Beachfront cleanup: At Riverfront Park at River Road and Maxson Avenue.

On your own: Grab some supplies (trash bags, gloves) and head to an area that you know needs some attention.
