JCP&L is reporting that most of the 2,058 outages reported in Ocean County on Thursday afternoon have been restored.

Jim Markey, a company spokesman, reported at 3:50 p.m. Thursday that there had been 2,058 power outages in Ocean County.

He said most of those outages were all connected to one particular power failure that affected 2,015 customers in the county from 1:26 to 3:16 p.m.

Of the 2,015, Markey said, the outages break down as follows: 1,182 in Point Borough; 305 in Point Beach; 4 in Brick and 524 in Bay Head.

He said there may be a couple of scattered outages throughout the county, but that most have been restored.
