Jersey Shore Beach Report: Sunny Days To Close Out Summer
Take a look at the forecast for the last beach weekend of 2025 at the Jersey Shore.

JERSEY SHORE, NJ — The last weekend of summer is here ... far too soon, it seems. If you're headed to the beach for one last hurrah before the routines of school days and activities take over, this should be a good weekend.
Here is a look from Patch at the beach forecast for Labor Day weekend.
The National Weather Service is calling for clear skies all weekend, with some scattered clouds at night and temperatures in the mid-70s. With plenty of sunshine and light wind, it should make for a comfortable time at the beach. You may want a jacket or a hoodie if you get cold easily.

Rip current risk is low this weekend and there do not appear to be any storms that will cause problems for those who want to wade or swim. As always, only go in the water on beaches where lifeguards are present and listen to what they tell you. Do not swim after hours.
As a reminder, most towns will not have lifeguards staffing their beaches after Monday. A few will have guarded beaches on Saturdays and Sundays until late September, but most beaches will not allow swimming after Monday.

JELLYFISH
From the New Jersey Jellyspotters
Jellyfish continue to be a problem in the bays and lagoons, so if you're going wading there, be prepared. Paul Bologna, the Montclair State biology professor and jellyfish expert, has shared these tips in the New Jersey Jellyspotters Facebook group for treating stings:
Apply white vinegar immediately. This stops any stinging cells that have not fired in the tentacles. Rinse the sting area with the salt water you are in to wash away tentacles. Do not use bottled water to rinse as osmotic shock will cause stinging cells left behind to continue to sting. Wipe the area clean with a clean towel or cloth. Benadryl or calamine lotion can help with itching, and over-the-counter pain medicines can be used for pain from the stings depending on the severity.
