POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Two weeks ago, Ariel Elias was chugging a beer that was chucked at her head by a heckler.

On Monday, she's getting the last laugh: Elias is scheduled to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

"She will be doing stand-up on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, Oct. 24," a spokesperson for the show said Friday evening.

Video of Elias chugging the drink after it smashed against the wall behind her at Uncle Vinnie's Comedy Club on Oct. 8 caught the attention of a host of celebrities, including Kimmel, who retweeted Elias’s tweet about the incident, saying, “five stars for this flawless performance @Ariel_Comedy.” Elias replied, saying, "Can I make my late night debut on your show?" and Kimmel answered "Definitely."

You can see her tweet with the video of the incident below, which began with a woman heckling her about voting for Joe Biden for president. Elias told Buzzfeed that her set had been about being a woman and body image issues, not political.

After a couple of cracks, Elias started to move on with her set after saying to the heckler, "I can tell by the fact that you’re still talking when nobody wants you to that you voted for Trump." When the woman tried to continue her heckling, club owner Dino Ibelli told the woman to be quiet, which prompted her to get up and leave. Her husband took it one step further, throwing the drink.

Point Pleasant Beach police said Elias has declined to press charges against the couple, who were from Brick Township, club owner Dino Ibelli said.

On Twitter, Elias said she is still trying to sort out everything she is feeling from that night.

"So we're clear, I'm still writing jokes about the beer can incident not because I'm trying to capitalize on it, or bc I think that's all I have going for me. but because it was a genuine trauma that I'm still processing (I didn't sleep for 4 days) and I do that by making jokes," Elias tweeted.
