Man Charged After Several Burglaries In Point Pleasant Boro: Cops
The burglaries involved cars and one also happened at a Point Pleasant Boro gas station, police said.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – A 39-year-old man was charged Tuesday with criminal mischief and theft after burglaries were reported at a Point Pleasant Boro gas station and in the Bay Avenue area, police announced,
Steven Lawson of Metuchen was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief conneced to a burglary at the Conoco Gas Station in September 2019, police said.
Cash and store merchandise were stolen from the Conoco Station, police said.

Lawson was also charged with four counts of burglary and theft for committing vehicle burglaries to unlocked vehicles during December 2019 in and around the area of Bay Avenue, police said.
The arrest was made after an extensive investigation conducted by the Point Pleasant Police Department, which included various surveillance details and interviews, poilice said.

Throughout this investigation, Lawson was also linked to vehicle burglaries in Bay Head which occurred in the same general area during the same time frame.
Lawson was released on a complaint-summons pending his first appearance in Superior Court, in accordance with the NJ bail reform law.
