New Officer Sworn Into Point Pleasant Beach Police Department

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The Point Pleasant Beach Police Department has a new officer on the beat.

Officer Edward Rilho was sworn in as a full-time officer at the Borough Council meeting on March 5.

Rilho began his career as a Class I Special Officer in 2019 in Point Pleasant Beach and worked his way up to Class II Special Officer.

He was hired as a full-time police officer in Hillsborough in 2023 before Point Pleasant Beach hired him back, officials said.
