Point Beach LL Defeats Tinton Falls, One Win Away From Title Game
The Point Pleasant Beach Little League can head to the finals of the NJLL Section 3 tournament with a win over Sunnybrae Thursday night.
POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – The Point Pleasant Beach Little League has made it to the finals of the loser’s bracket after defeat Tinton Falls on Wednesday, 17-6.
Despite the final score, the game was back-and-forth, with four lead changes between the two teams.
“It was a much closer game than the score indicates,” Point Beach manager Troy Dombrowsky said.

The Beach will face the host team Sunnybrae on Thursday at 7 p.m., with the winner advancing to the championship round, where as-yet-undefeated Toms River East is waiting on Friday and Saturday if needed.
According to Dombrowsky, the team is motivated and looking to get another chance to avenge the only loss they have suffered so far.

“They want another chance against Toms River East, “ Dombrowsky said, adding that the majority of the team stay to watch the Sunnybrae-TR East game to see who’d they be pitching against.
The team isn’t looking past the host team, however, according to the skipper.
“This is going to be a tough game,” Dombrowsky said.
