Point Beach Police Identify Missing Swimmer, Search is Still On
The woman went in the water at 2:30 a.m. Sunday and never came out

Point Pleasant Beach police have identified the 24-year-old woman who went swimming early Sunday morning with a male friend and never came out.
Zuzana Oravcova and Thomas Kadlec, 23, both from Slovakia, entered the beach shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning and were quickly overwhelmed by the dangerous surf conditions, according to the Point Pleasant Beach police department Facebook page..
Kadlec managed to swim to shore and immediately notified a boardwalk employee, who reported the incident to police.

Police began the search, assisted by the U.S Coast Guard, the New Jersey State Police Marine Unit, fire and first aid companies from Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head and Mantoloking, dive teams from Point Pleasant Beach, Point Pleasant, Brick, Brielle and Manasquan, and police officers from Bay Head and Mantoloking, the post states.
"The search continued into the day light hours, using boats, a helicopter and ground crews," according to the post. "At this time, the female is still missing and the search is continuing. She has been entered NCIC as a missing person. Anyone with any information, contact the Pt Pleasant Beach Police Department."

The National Weather Service had issued a warning on Sunday advising residents and visitor not to swim, because of "dangerous and life-threatening conditions."
