Point Beach to Hold Sept. 11 Memorial Service

Evening event to be at Silver Lake band shell by Arnold Avenue parking lot

Point Beach will be holding a candlelight memorial service to mark the 10th anniversary of the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001. 

The memorial service will take place at the Band Shell on Silver Lake, by the Arnold Avenue parking lot, starting at 7 p.m.

"The community is invited to come together in remembrance of those lost on that tragic day 10 years ago," according to a prepared statement from the borough clerk's office.

The memorial service will pay tribute to all those lost, with a special ceremony for the emergency service personnel lost saving others. 

The program will also include patriotic music and songs.
