Point Boro Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident in North Brunswick
Owner of Sunoco station on Route 35 North in Point Beach dies after motorcycle hits curb
A Point Borough man died after he lost control of his motorcycle, hit a curb, was ejected and hit a utility pole, police said on Monday.
Worden "Sam" Clement, 68, had been riding his motorcycle west on Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick, when he lost control, hit a curb near Arlington Avenue and his body crashed into a utility pole at 9:26 a.m. Sunday, said North Brunswick Police Lt. Roger Reinson.
Clement, who was well known throughout the borough and Point Beach as "Sam," owned the Prospect Point Sunoco gas station on Route 35 North.

Reinson said police do not yet know why he lost control or what part of his body hit the utility pole.
"That's all part of the investigation that's continuing," he said.

He also said he did not know where Clement was riding to on his Harley-Davidson Sportster.
Clement was transported by ambulance to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Reinson said he did not know where Clement was pronounced dead.
Clement was wearing a helmet, police said.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Pable Evertz Funeral Home, 901 Beaver Dam Rd., Point Borough, followed by a service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harvey Memorial United Methodist Church, 1120 Arnold Avenue, Point Borough.
