POINT PLEASANT, NJ – The borough of Point Pleasant announced its summer events for seniors during a lunch party at Riverfront Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Attendees were treated to a lunch from Complete Care of Laurelton while hearing about the borough’s Operation Reassurance, which is a borough program designed to assist senior citizens and people living under special circumstances that live alone.

If you join the program, you will be required to call the Police Department every day between 8 and 10 a.m. If your call is not received by then, we will call you, and if there is no answer, a police officer will be dispatched to your home to ensure your well-being. If a key is not made available to the police officer, forced entry may be required. The Point Pleasant Police Department or its members will not be held liable for any damage incurred by the forced entry.
