Republicans Hold Wide Lead In Point Pleasant Beach Council Race: Unofficial Results

Two full terms and a 1-year unexpired term were up for election.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — Three Republicans have swept the seats up for election on the Point Pleasant Beach Borough Council in the 2024 election, according to unofficial results.

Michael Ramos and George "Andy" Cortes had nearly double the number of votes as the two Democrats, Ernest "EJ" Geiger and Margaret "Maggie" Doucette, in the race for the two full terms, while David Betten led by more than 700 votes in the race for a one-year unexpired term, according to the unofficial totals with all four districts reporting.

The results remain unofficial until certified by the Ocean County Clerk.

Voters also were casting ballots for the Board of Education but that race was uncontested.
