POINT PLEASANT BEACH – A new police initiative will launch this week to help better connect law enforcement with the public and improve safety.

The first meeting of the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department's “Neighborhood Partnership Initiative”will be held on Wednesday night at Borough Hall.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

The program will focus on safety initiatives and programs aimed to bolster communications with the residents and visitors of Point Pleasant Beach, officials said.

Councilman Doug Vitale will present “Social Media and Online Safety For All Ages.”.This presentation will show attendees how to secure their social media pages and protect themselves online.

At the conclusion of the presentation, members of the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department will give a briefing and will be available to answer questions from residents, officials said.
