POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Maybe you thought one of Point Pleasant Beach's biggest events would be canceled because of the coronavirus?

Guess again.

Mayor Paul Kanitra has announced that the Point Pleasant Beach Offshore Grand Prix will return in September.

"Thrilled to announce that the Point Pleasant Beach Offshore Grand Prix will be coming back on September 25-27th!" Kanitra announced this weekend.

"Block off your calendars now, because it’s going to be one heck of a weekend!" Kanitra said on Facebook.

And if you’re from out of town, Kanitra suggests booking your stay at one of the town's' properties early.

"It’s an adrenaline-pumping, family friendly event and something you won’t want to miss!" he said.
