Point Pleasant Boro Football Team Playing For Regional Title
The Panthers, who won a state sectional championship on Friday, advanced to the regional championship game on Dec. 4.
POINT PLEASANT, NJ — While turkey and all the trimmings are on the minds of many around the area, the Point Pleasant Boro High School football team is focused on a bigger prize: the Group 2 South Region championship.
The Panthers beat Willingboro 32-8 last Friday in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 championship.
They now are are headed to Rutgers University on Dec. 4, where they will face Haddonfield, the Central Jersey Group 2 champ, at 10 a.m. for the overall southern region title.

It's a title that didn't exist when Point Boro last won a sectional championship, in 2005.
Tickets for the game at Rutgers will be sold through the NJSIAA website.
