The Point Pleasant Boro Police Department wants people to know that it's providing on-the-spot services for people with addiction.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – The Point Pleasant Boro Police Department wants people to know that it's providing on-the-spot services for people with addiction.
The Point Pleasant Police Department is a proud partner of the Blue Heart initiative, which has been revamped and renamed BLUE HOPE.
Police offer the services on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

BLUE HOPE is a law enforcement initiative that assists Ocean County residents suffering from substance abuse disorder.
Residents can voluntarily enter a participating police department, such as Point Boro, on their scheduled day and time and request help with their addiction.

They will then be immediately screened for participation in the program, and then be directly linked to a health care/treatment provider.
