Point Pleasant High School Earns AP Honor Roll
The Honor Roll award reflects the number of AP courses that are available to Point Pleasant Boro High School students.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Point Pleasant Borough High School has been named to the 2023 Advanced Placement Program School Honor Roll, the College Board announced.
The high school received Bronze distinction, district officials said. Point Pleasant Borough High School offered 15 AP Courses during the 2022-2023 school year with a total of 25 sections taught by 15 teachers.
AP courses allow students to tackle college-level work while still in high school. Through taking AP Exams, students can earn college credit and placement. Point Pleasant Borough High School had 32 percent of seniors take at least one AP exam during high school and 35 percent of seniors take three or more AP exams in the 2022-23 school year.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.
"We continue to see growth in our AP enrollment as well as the number of students succeeding in these rigorous courses," Principal Kurt Karcich said. "I am so proud of our students for challenging themselves and demonstrating the perseverance to achieve success!"
