Point Pleasant Man Charged With Multiple Counts Of Lewdness Involving Juveniles

Investigation Involving Joseph D. Perello II, 24, Began Back In February.

Point Pleasant police recently arrested a borough man for numerous counts of lewdness in connection with four events that involved five juveniles this year, Capt. Robert Lokerson said.

Detective Joseph Hynes arrested Jospeh D. Perello II, 24, at 3:01 p.m. on Aug. 18. He was charged with five counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, three counts of fourth-degree lewdness and two counts of disorderly persons lewdness, Lokerson said.

Perello exposed himself in all of the incidents. The most recent incident occurred on Dorsett Dock Road on Aug. 1, he said.

The incidents all occurred this year, on Feb. 15, Feb. 23, April 4 and Aug. 1, he said.

Perello II was released pending his first appearance in Ocean County Superior Court, Lokerson said.
