Breaking: Point Pleasant Postpones Earth Day Until Sunday Due To Weather
Beach sweeps will take place at River Avenue and Maxson Avenue river beaches.

The annual Point Pleasant Earth Day celebration has been postponed until tomorrow due to rainy weather, according to the borough's Twitter page.
Earth Day will be held on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at Riverfront Park.
The borough will also host Clean Ocean Action's beach sweeps from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the River Avenue and Maxson Avenue riverfront beaches.

Earth Day already has 80 "green" registered exhibitors. The event will also feature bounce houses, and obstacle course and a petting zoo.
The theme of this year's Earth Day is "Back to Basics - The Benefits of Reducing, Reusing and Recycling to Point Pleasant Borough."

Food will be available for purchase from Jersey Shore Barbecue, Shore Fresh Seafoods, Cool Concessions Ice Cream and Shore Shakes Smoothies.
Live music will also be provided.
