Republicans Wisniewski, Snyder Win Point Pleasant Council Seats

John Wisniewski was the top vote getter in the race for the two, three-year terms

POINT PLEASANT, NJ - Control of the Borough Council will remain in Republican hands with the election of the two GOP candidates on Tuesday.

John Wisniewski, 821 Rosewood Avenue, was the top vote getter with 3,545 votes, or 31.95 percent. Pamela Snyder, Bay Isle Drive, was second with 3,449 votes or 31.08 percent.

Democrats Peter Hagemeyer, 609 Hardenbergh Avenue, received 2,124 or 19.14 percent and Derek Reichenbecher, 557 Summit Drive, received 1,970 or 17.75 percent, according to the Ocean County Clerk's Office.
