Road Closures Set For Inlet Tug Of War In Point Pleasant Beach

The Inlet Tug of War, held in conjunction with Manasquan, raises money for the recreation departments of both towns along with Make-A-Wish.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — If you are planning to go to the Inlet Tug of War on Sunday, Point Pleasant Beach police have announced road closures and detours for the area.

Point Pleasant Beach Police Chief Robert Kowalewski said the following changes in traffic patterns will be in place Sunday, affecting Inlet Drive, Broadway and Ocean Avenue.

Inlet Drive will be closed at the intersection with Ocean Avenue to all but resident traffic.

At Broadway, Inlet Drive will have officer-directed two-way vehicle traffic, allowing access to businesses and residents.

Residents of the affected areas are asked to plan ahead for limited access to the inlet area, which may create delays in travel.

Inlet Drive will be completely shut down between the public restrooms and the Coast Guard station.
