Santa's Coming To Point Pleasant Beach Christmas Tree Lighting

Mark your calendars for the annual Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce Christmas tree lighting celebration. It'll be here soon.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — The holiday season is upon us, and the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce is ready to kick off the celebration in style with its annual Christmas tree lighting downtown.

The celebration on Bay Avenue is set for Friday, Nov. 24, and kicks off a month of celebrations with the jolly ol' elf at several Point Pleasant Beach businesses.

The tree lighting celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. on Bay Avenue and Santa Claus will arrive by fire truck shortly afterward. There will be horse and carriage rides, fire truck rides, children's activities, karaoke with DJ Paul Backstage Entertainment, photos with Santa at Ocean County Music and more.

The celebration, from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m., has a raindate of Saturday, Nov. 25.

Dec. 2: Brunch with Santa at Pop's Corner, 500 Arnold Ave., from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. 732-892-1700

Dec. 10: Brunch with Santa at the Lobster Shanty, 83 Channel Drive. There are two seatings, 10:30 a.m. and noon; tickets are required. Call 732-899-6700

Dec. 16: Brunch with Santa at Round Dough with A Hole, 400 Richmond Ave., from 9 a.m.-noon. 732-899-0750

Dec. 23: Brunch with Santa at Boatyard 401, 401 Broadway, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. 732-892-9000

There also will be horse-and-carriage rides on Arnold and Bay avenues on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 for shoppers and visitors. The rides will be available from noon to 3 p.m. on those three Sundays.
