Spring Hydrant Flushing Dates Announced In Point Pleasant
Fire hydrant flushing helps clear water lines of sediment.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The annual spring fire hydrant flushing in Point Pleasant is set to begin on April 1, borough officials announced.
It will take about six weeks, weather permitting, and will be conducted weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"This operation allows an opportunity to check the function of all the borough's fire hydrants and is necessary to flush out the water mains to provide the best quality water year-round to our residents," officials said.

Residents can expect discolored water during the flushing and will clear up as the flushing moves out of the area.
"Please refrain from washing your clothes until the water runs clear," the borough said.
