POINT PLEASANT – When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

  • If other, job: Paramedic and EMS Coordinator of Howell Police
  • Relationship to nominee: Parent
  • Reason for recognition: She worked constantly throughout coronavirus, both as a paramedic and as the EMS coordinator of Howell Township Police. She did weekly overnights as a paramedic and dealt with COVID patients, while being aware she had a weakened immune system.
  • One thing to know: She is the true definition of a hero, she is selfless and puts strangers before she puts herself. Throughout her entire career, including COVID-19, she has never asked for a thank you from anyone. She has simply loved doing her job and helping people.
