5 Star Review Policy By Edison Restaurant Comes Under Fire

Tio Taco + Tequila Bar in Edison asked servers to meet five-star reviews or lose their jobs, according to a viral photo.

EDISON, NJ – A popular restaurant in Edison has come under fire after a photo of their “new policy,” asking servers to get five positive google reviews a month or lose their jobs, went viral.

A photo of a bulletin board from Tio Taco + Tequila Bar in Edison was posted on Reddit. According to the bulletin, beginning February all service staff employed at the Edison location will have to get a minimum of five google reviews per month to keep their jobs.

“Every service employee for FOH is required to get a minimum of 5 Google reviews per month to remain employed at the Edison location starting February 2022,” the posting on a bulletin board read. “The review must include your name and five stars in order to count.”
