Applications For Summer Youth Employment Opens In Princeton
Last year, 40 young people were provided jobs in a variety of municipal departments and nonprofit organizations.
PRINCETON, NJ - Princeton Human Services has opened the application process for the annual Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).
For years, this program has given Princeton youth the opportunity to gain real-world, professional work experience.
In the summer of 2024, SYEP provided 40 young people jobs in a variety of municipal departments and local nonprofit organizations.

The program also includes job-readiness training, financial coaching, and career development.
Participants must live in Princeton, must be between the ages of 14 and 18 as of July 7, 2025, and their family income must not exceed 400 percent of the 2024 US Federal Poverty Level.

Participants work 25 hours a week and earn $14.53/hr. for eight weeks during the summer.
The application deadline is Friday, April 25. Applications are available at the Princeton Human Services office in Monument Hall.
