Cedar Hill Prep Halloween Costume Drive Delivers 180 Costumes to Pine Grove Manor School

Somerset, NJ – Cedar Hill Prep, a preschool through eighth grade International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate school in Somerset, New Jersey, successfully completed its Halloween Costume Drive. Student leaders collected and delivered 180 costumes to Pine Grove Manor School (PGM), marking the start of a year-long community partnership.

Student Leadership in Action
Cedar Hill Prep's student leadership team personally delivered the costumes to Pine Grove Manor School. During their visit, students met with the school's principal, faculty, and students—creating a meaningful learning experience about community service and civic responsibility.

A Powerful Impact on Young Leaders
The experience deeply affected participating students and families. Jenny Garofalo, parent of eighth grader Nico, shared: "He came home emotional, with tears in his eyes, and told me how thankful and proud he was that CHP was helping the school. He said, 'Mom, these kids deserve everything.' It was such a powerful moment to see that kind of empathy and understanding in him."

Year-Long Community Partnership
Cedar Hill Prep has planned additional community service drives for the 2025-2026 school year.
