Excessive Rainfall Possible, Flood Watch Issued For Mercer County
With wet conditions and elevated creeks and streams, some flooding is possible with another 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain expected.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Another round of heavy rain is expected on Wednesday prompting a flood watch to be issued for Mercer County.
The National Weather Service(NWS) issued a flood watch from Wednesday at 1 p.m. through Thursday at 6 a.m. as excessive rainfall is possible.
"With wet antecedent conditions and elevated creeks and streams, some flooding is possible with another 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain expected," according to the NWS.

The NWS warns that creeks and streams may rise out of their banks and fooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

Tuesday Afternoon: Rain likely before 5 p.m., then areas of drizzle with a chance of rain after 5 p.m. Areas of fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 49. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night: A chance of rain before 7 p.m. Areas of fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 42. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Rain, mainly after noon. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 54. Light and variable wind becoming northeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.
Wednesday Night: Rain. Low around 48. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.
Thursday: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 54. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: A slight chance of rain before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35.
