Multiple School Renovations Progress On Schedule Across Princeton District

PRINCETON, NJ - Princeton School District construction projects are progressing on schedule, with several major renovations expected to be completed before the new school year begins.

Business Administrator Andrew Harris updated the Board of Education on multiple ongoing projects during the district's recent meeting.

The Princeton High School tennis courts and basin renovation are on track for completion by Aug. 29, Harris said. Tennis courts have been demolished and contractors breaking the area before installing new courts.

The high school turf field contractors are replacing the Nailer boards around the field to be at the right height to keep the turf info from spilling out. “The installation of the turf carpet and shockwave product underneath is ongoing and moving swiftly,” Harris said.

It is expected to be completely finished by Aug. 8, which is on schedule.

The PHS bleacher replacement demolition is complete. The electrician will install power receptacles and workers will begin installing the new bleachers.

Meanwhile, the middle school, primary heating upgrades contractors are making progress on piping and new control valve, which is on schedule to be finished by Aug. 30.

“The system will be finally commissioned at the start of the heating season,” Harris said.

Superintendent Mike LaSusa expressed confidence that the district will meet all construction deadlines, ensuring facilities are ready for students and staff when classes resume.
