New Princeton Schools Superintendent Hosts Summer Community Meet-and-Greet Tour

The events will be held to connect with parents and residents.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Public Schools' new superintendent, Dr. Mike LaSusa, is hosting a series of community meet-and-greet events throughout the summer to connect with parents and residents. Dr. LaSusa will be wearing his district badge for identification during these informal visits.

Upcoming meet-and-greet schedule:

  • Wednesday, July 9: Lupita Groceries, 10 a.m.
  • Wednesday, July 9: Tortugas Mexican Village, 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 16: Lillipies Princeton Shopping Center, 10 a.m.
  • Thursday, July 24: Princeton Farmers Market, Hinds Plaza, 10 a.m.
  • Thursday, July 31: Rita's, Princeton Shopping Center, 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 7: Princeton Farmers Market, Hinds Plaza, 10 a.m.

The Princeton Board of Education appointed LaSula as superintendent in January 2025. Before joining Princeton, he served as superintendent for the School District of the Chathams for 13 years, where he began his administrative career after starting as a middle school Spanish teacher in North Philadelphia.

LaSusa has held various educational leadership positions, including high school principal and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction. He is the immediate past president of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA) and current president of the Garden State Coalition of Schools (GSCS). In 2019, he was named Region One New Jersey Superintendent of the Year.

He holds an Ed.D. from Rutgers University in Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education, an M.S. in secondary education from Saint Joseph's University, and a B.A. in Spanish from Gettysburg College.
