Trenton, NJ — As the demand for cybersecurity professionals continues to surge nationwide, a new opportunity has emerged for Newark residents looking to enter this vital sector. Per Scholas, a nonprofit leader in technology education is now accepting applications for its no-cost Cybersecurity Analyst training program, with the next cohort set to begin on June 23, 2025. The application deadline is June 9, 2025, giving interested candidates a limited window to secure a spot in this rigorous and career-focused course.
The 15-week program is designed to equip participants with the skills and certifications needed to launch a career as a cybersecurity analyst. Training runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is delivered in a flexible format—offering both remote and hybrid options to accommodate a variety of learners. While previous experience in technology is preferred, applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional growth.
Graduates of the course will be prepared to earn two industry-recognized certifications: the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) and the Splunk Core Certified Power User.
