Police Blotter: Accidents, DWI and Copper Pipe Theft

The following incidents were reported by Princeton Township Police between Nov. 7-10.

 

On Nov. 7 at 7:58 a.m., Elizabeth Seruma, 44, of Princeton, was driving west on Cherry Valley Rd when she began to turn left onto Cherry Hill Road and struck a vehicle driven by Jennifer Ko (no age provided), of Skillman. Ko was driving east on Cherry Valley Road. There was significant damage to Seruma's rear passenger side door and a male passenger (no age, or other information provided) was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for a complaint of head pain. Seruma's vehicle was towed away and she was issued a summons for failure to yield to the right of way. 

On Nov. 7 at 10:32 p.m., a vehicle driven by Barbara Bow, 28, of Ringos, was driving at the intersection of Cherry Hill Road and Crestview Road when she skidded on the snow-covered road and hit a tree. The Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad evaluated Bow for injuries, but she refused treatment. Bow was issued summonses for driving an uninsured vehicle and having fictitious license plates. The vehicle was towed away.

On Nov. 10 at 3:19 a.m., police noticed a vehicle repeatedly squealing its tires as it drove along Alexander Street. An investigation revealed the vehicle’s registration was expired and the driver showed signs of intoxication. Following field sobriety tests, Bobak Hadidi, 23, of Princeton was arrested and the vehicle towed. Hadidi was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving and expired registration. He was released to a friend.

Sometime between Nov. 6 and Nov. 11, copper piping was stolen by a residence in the 500 block of Snowden Lane. Police say property inside the house was damaged and the estimated loss is $600.

On Nov. 10 at 8:43 p.m., Ramprasad Sandilya (no age given) of Bordentown was driving north on Lawrenceville Road (Route 206) and came to a stop. The vehicle behind, driven by Tiffany Scerbo, 21, of Hillsborough attempted to stop but slid on the roadway and hit the back of Sandilya's car. Scerbo was issued a summons for careless driving.
