Police Blotter: Bike Theft, Accidents, DWI

The following incidents were reported by Princeton Borough Police from Sept. 21-22.

 

On Sept. 21 at 12:40 a.m. police stopped a motor vehicle on Route 206 near Ewing Street. Zachary Humbert, 26, of Belle Mead, was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless driving, speeding and failure to change his address. He was released to the custody of a friend.

On Sept. 21 at 8:26 a.m. a Lexus driven by Kevin Kuchinski, 43, of Pennington rear-ended a Toyota driven by Atul Sharma, 43, of West Windsor as both were traveling north on Route 206 near the intersection of Mountain Avenue. No one was injured and both vehicles were driven away. Kuchinski was issued a summons for careless driving.

On Sept. 21 at 3:54 p.m. a Nissan driven by Answorth Thompson, 55, of Rockaway stopped for an oncoming school bus which had its lights activated in the 600 block of Lawrenceville Road (Route 206). He was rear-ended by a Lexus driven by Lori Ann Kraft, no age available, of New Hope Pa. The bus was not involved in the crash. Kraft was issued a summons for careless driving

On Sept. 22 at 3:08 p.m. a resident of the 400 block of Ewing Street reported that sometime since Sept. 19 someone stole Trek mountain bike- valued at $350- from his garage. No similar incidents were reported in the area.

On Sept. 22 at 4:16 p.m., a Toyota driven by Uma Bhimavarapu, 43, of Mercerville was south on Route 206 when she became distracted for an unknown reason, drove off the road and hit a utility pole just north of Hillside Avenue. Bhimararapu and two juvenile passengers were taken to a local hospital. The car was towed away and Bhimavarapu was issued a summons for careless driving.
