Princeton BOE To Vote On Revised Contract For New Superintendent On Tuesday

PRINCETON, NJ – On Tuesday, the Princeton Board of Education will be meeting and on the agenda will be a vote on the revised employment agreement for the new superintendent.

Michael LaSusa was appointed superintendent in January 2025. Before joining Princeton, he served as superintendent for the School District of the Chathams for 13 years, where he began his administrative career after starting as a middle school Spanish teacher in North Philadelphia.

LaSusa’s contract is through June 30, 2030, with an annual salary of $295,000, with a 2 percent raise over the next five years.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the salary has been set for $295,000; for 2026-2027 $300,900; for the 2027-2028 school year, $306,918; for the 2028-2029 school year, $313,056; and for the 2029-2030 school year, $319,317 - reflecting the 2 percent increase.

Currently, he is hosting a series of community meet-and-greet events across various locations in town to connect with parents and residents.
